Updated Itinerary and Notes

I realized today that Eric and I had adjusted our South East Asia loop Itinerary and not updated anybody about it! Here’s what our updated timeline for Southeast Asia looks like.

June 13-Flew to Bangkok, Thailand

June 20-Flew to Pnomh Penh, Cambodia

June 21-Bus to Siem Reap, Cambodia

June 25-Bus from Siem Reap to Pnomh Penh

June 26-Bus to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam

June 28 through July 9– Travel up the coast of Vietnam by train

July 9– Fly from Hanoi, Vietnam to Bangkok, Thailand

July 10/11-Train and ferry from Bangkok to Koh Samui Island, Thailand

July 11 through August 5-explore Islands in South Thailand

August 6-Train to Bangkok

August 7-Fly from Bangkok, Thailand to Prague, Czech Republic

You may have noticed that we decided to cut out Laos from our trip. We were sad that we had to do this, but logistically and monetarily it started to become too difficult. This way, we’re spending a good long while making our way up the coast of Vietnam, visiting some great beach towns and we will still have about 3 weeks on the beaches of Thailand. Not too shabby as Eric says.

I’m trying to adjust to the balance of updating the blog regularly but not spending too much time on the computer (it’s a difficult balance to maintain). I’ve got some interesting posts in the works, more details and tips about traveling in this part of the world. Eric will also be doing a little “guest-blogging” and we’ll set up a link to his photo stream. That way, you’ll be able to see even more of our photos that would be too many to put up on a blog.

Look out for my next post coming soon! All about Vietnam!
